What we collect

Your email address, to send your sign-in code. What you choose to show: your display name, status and ball, and your city and time zone if you turn on Show my local time. Your game: rounds and scores, courses, chips, balls, quests, achievements, friends, requests, blocks, your settings and the date you accepted these terms. Messages you send us through Contact us, with the email address you give. Your IP address, which our server uses only to limit abuse, and reports of game errors, which never include your email.

How we use it

To sign you in, run lobbies, rounds and leaderboards, keep your progress on every device, show your friends where you are, keep chat safe and look into reports. We do not sell your data and there are no ads.

Chat and moderation

Chat goes through our server to the players in your room. Chat, names, statuses and cities are checked by our word list and by OpenAI's moderation service before anyone sees them. We do not keep chat, except the last 50 lines of a room when a player there is reported.

Sharing

The game runs on Supabase (accounts and database), Fly.io (game server), Vercel (website), Cloudflare (domain and email) and OpenAI (moderation). We share your data with no one else unless the law requires it.

Retention

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Delete account in Settings removes it and everything tied to it at once. Playing without an account keeps your progress in this browser only, until you clear it.

Children

brb.Golf is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 has an account, write to us and we will delete it.
